Bigg Boss Tamil is all set to air on Television this June. Kamal Haasan will be hosting the reality show. This will mark his debut on the smaller screen. “When ‘Bigg Boss’ approached me to play the host, I funnily quipped, who better than me, right? All my life, I have been under a constant watch and have been judged on whatever I have done, public or private. But now, the roles are reversed, as I would stand with the audiences and watch these celebrities in the house survive this ordeal,” stated the actor while speaking with IANS. And now to tease us a little, the channel, broadcasting the show has released a promo starring the veteran actor. It opens with a zoomed in pic of the star and then we slowly dive into his right eye that then leads us to the signature BIg boss eye. The teaser ends with the tagline ‘Big boss.  I ‘will be watching’ in Kamal Haasan’s voice. It’s trippy, intriguing and has got us excited for the reality show. “A lavish house set on a budget of over Rs. 1 crore is being constructed at EVP theme park. The team is busy preparing the participants’ list of 15 members, including two cricketers. The first season of the show will be aired from June 18 on Vijay TV,” staed a source form the unit as reports on IANS.

While speaking earlier with Quint, Kamal Haasan was all praises for Salman Khan who hosts Bigg Boss in Hindi. “Salman genuinely bonds with the contestants on Bigg Boss. There is no pretension or patronising in his attitude. Being friendly comes naturally to him. And he gives advice as a friend, not as a mentor. There is none of the I-know-better superiority in his attitude. I’d also like to bond genuinely with the contestants, though how it goes will depend entirely on how they perceive me, as a friend or as a mentor.”
