Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2 teaser to release on 23 June

Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2 teaser will be out this EID.

After four years of delay, Kamal Haasan‘s Vishwaroopam 2 is finally seeing the light of day. This film is the sequel to a 2013 film – Vishwaroopam that starred the veteran actor, Shekhar Kapur, Rahul Bose and Andreah Jeremiah. The spy film was lauded for its technical brilliance, sharp visuals and the concept. The film was directed  by Kamal Haasan. It was co-produced by the veteran actor as well. And now it’s time for Part 2! Unlike Part 1, this film will be set in India. While the earlier cast will be part of this film, Waheeda Rahman will be the surprise element. This time Kamal Haasan has not just directed the film but he has taken the film’s production into his own hands. The first look was recently unveiled. The poster featured  an injured Kamal Haasan holding on to the national flag.  As per the latest update, the teaser will be unveiled on 23 June, The film is all set for a Diwali 2017 release.

If Rajiniaknth’s 2.0 had released as planned, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth, two stalwarts of the Tamil industry would’ve lock horns! But as we all know 2.0 release has been pushed to Jan 2018. The Diwali slot has now been taken over by Ilayathalapathy Vijay whose 61st project will release in Diwali. So will Kamal Haasan and Vijay battle it out at the BO?

In other news Kamal Haasan will soon debut on TV with Bigg Boss Tamil. 14 participants will live in one house for 3 months. The veetran actor believes this is great way of getting in touch fans at the household level. He was also praises for Salman Khan in an interview with Quint – Salman genuinely bonds with the contestants on Bigg Boss. There is no pretension or patronising in his attitude. Being friendly comes naturally to him. And he gives advice as a friend, not as a mentor. There is none of the I-know-better superiority in his attitude. I’d also like to bond genuinely with the contestants, though how it goes will depend entirely on how they perceive me, as a friend or as a mentor.
