Salman Khan thinks Tubelight WON’T be able to beat Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 and Aamir Khan’s Dangal at the box office

This is what Salman has to say about Tubelight being able to break Baahubali 2 and Dangal's records.

Be it Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan or Bajrangi Bhaijaan – Salman Khan’s films always (well, most of the times) do wonders at the box office and fans are expecting his next film Tubelight to be a massive hit too. But the kind of record Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 and Aamir Khan’s Dangal have created, it almost seems impossible for any film to break this record. So what’s Salman’s take on it? Would Tubelight be able to match up to those numbers? In Salman’s opinion, he certainly has a long way to go as long as breaking the box office records of these two super duper hit films are concerned. In an EXCLUSIVE interview with BollywoodLife, Salman said, “Baahubali (2) and Dangal are both good movies. There is still time for me to break their records at the box office.” There.. he said it! For those who don’t know, Tubelight is an adaptation of 2015 “Little Boy”, but the Bajrangi Bhaijaan director says it has been made according to Indian sensibilities. “Our film is an adaptation of ‘Little Boy’. We have taken the germ of idea and made it according to our sensibilities. We have made it in context of our history.” Tubelight is based against the Indo Chinese war of 1962. Salman Khan plays a bumpkin Laxman Singh Bisht whose brother goes to the war. The film has been shot in Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir area. Zhu Zhu is the attraction of the film along with child artiste Matin Rey Tangu. Also starring Sohail Khan, Om Puri, Shah Rukh Khan in cameo, Tubelight releases this Eid.
