    The year 2017 is shaping up quite well for India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki. After launching the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS, the company has launched the Maruti Dzire 2017, which has received 44,000 bookings since launch. The NEXA line consists of cars like Maruti Ignis, Maruti Baleno, S-Cross and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. Riding high on success of these cars, the company has planned an array of premium offerings for India in 2017-18. The company will launch the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift in October 2017 and the Vitara Brezza petrol by year end. This will be followed by the Ciaz facelift while the the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift will be launched in February 2018.     Suzuki Swift
    Maruti Suzuki Swift 2017 – The Maruti Swift nameplate was introduced in India way back in 2005. The car was an immediate success and became a household name. Soon, Maruti Suzuki launched the diesel variant of the car in India while the company launched the new generation Swift in 2011. The company is now planning to launch the next generation Maruti Suzuki Swift 2017 in India. The car get a complete design overhaul with new exteriors and premium interiors. The car will continue to be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol (84BHP/114Nm) and 1.3-litre diesel (74BHP/190Nm) engine options. Maruti Suzuki is also considering to launch the Swift Sport in India, which might be powered by a 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine (100.5BHP/150Nm).     Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
    Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Petrol – Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has become the bestselling compact SUV, not only in its segment but segments above as well. The Vitara Brezza has received well over 2 lakh bookings in India while the waiting period is anywhere between 6-8 months. The company will soon launch the Vitara Brezza Petrol variant, powered by a 1.0-litre BoosterJet petrol engine. This unit produces 100.5 BHP of power and 150 Nm of peak torque, while it will come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.     Upcoming Maruti Suzuki S-Cross 2017 facelift
    Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Facelift – Suzuki recently launched the new S-Cross facelift in UK and other European markets. While the old generation model is currently on sale in India, Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the new S-Cross facelift in India by October 2017. The new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross sports new exteriors and premium interiors. With all the design changes, the S-Cross now looks more like an SUV than a crossover. The new Maruti S-Cross will continue to be powered by the same 1.3-litre & 1.6-litre diesel engine options.     Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
    Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Facelift – Recently, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz was spied testing in Delhi. According to the spied images, the car gets revised front and rear bumpers while the major change is on the insides. The car will get new instrument cluster with MID and faux wooden inlays on the dashboard, while the company might also equip the car with a cruise control system. The new Maruti Ciaz facelift will continue to be powered by the same 1.4-litre petrol & 1.3-litre diesel engine options. However, we can expect Maruti Suzuki to introduce the 1.6-litre diesel unit and a 1.0-litre BoosterJet petrol motor as part of the RS variant. Prices will be more or less similar to the existing model, however, the company will charge a premium if it plans to launch the more powerful petrol and diesel engines.     Suzuki Vitara – Maruti Suzuki has been largely successful in transforming itself as a premium car maker with the launch of the NEXA dealerships. The company sells cars like Ignis, Baleno, S-Cross and the Ciaz through its NEXA dealerships. Recently, Maruti Suzuki’s Chairman, RC Bhargava hinted that the company might consider launching the Suzuki Vitara in India in the coming future. While not much is know about the Vitara, Maruti Suzuki might launch the car by the end of 2018. In a statement to ET Auto, RC Bhargava had said, “Our product portfolio will cover these segments. Today we have covered only the compact SUVs, but as we along, we will also move with an SUV which is higher that the compact SUV. I don’t know when exactly it is scheduled for sale, but not too far in the future.”
    If launched, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara will rival the Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV500, Renault Duster and the Honda BR-V. Mechanically, the Suzuki Vitara is powered by two petrol and one diesel engine option. The 1.6-litre VVT petrol produces 120 BHP /156 Nm of power while the Vitara S, powered by a 1.4-litre BoosterJet engine produces 138 BHP / 220 Nm of power. The oil burner gets a 1.6-litre DDiS diesel unit that develops 120 BHP of power and 320 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual as well as an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox.
