Bareilly Ki Barfi first look: Why is Kriti Sanon hiding behind a book?

The film also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao

After the critical acclaim of her debut film, Nil Battey Sannata, director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is back with her second feature film, this time a romantic comedy featuring Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao. The first look poster of the film features Kriti Sanon with a book that has the title Bareilly Ki Barfi. And going solely by the quirky colors and designing of the poster, it looks like a slice of life romantic comedy. The first look poster of the film was shared by Ayushmann Khurrana on his instagram account and he captioned the image as, “यह किताब कमाल की है !!! The first look of #bareillykibarfi releasing 18th August”

Rajkummar Rao, on the other hand, shared the look with caption, “This book changed my life.. here’s a glimpse of #BareillyKiBarfi #18thaugust @kritisanon @ayushmannk @Ashwinyiyer @junochopra”

Kriti Sanon shared the look with caption, “I cant believe what i’ve just read!!#BareillyKiBarfi Just cant wait for you to read it..Here’s a glimpse @Ashwinyiyer @junochopra” She also changed her Twitter name to Bitti, which is the name of her character in the film. Also read: Rajkummar Rao to play a poet in Ayushmann – Kriti’s Bareilly Ki Barfi

One interesting thing about the film is the fact that it is written by the director of Dangal and husband of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Nitesh Tiwari. Also read: Bareilly Ki Barfi is quirky, cute and light, says Kriti Sanon

The film is slated for an August 18, 2017 release. Interestingly, it’ll be clashing with Shraddha Kapoor’s Haseena Parkar.
