Xiaomi Redmi 5 key specs and price leaked ahead of launch

Xiaomi’s Redmi 4A will go on an another sale in India today at 12:00 PM via Amazon India. Priced at Rs 5,999, the smartphone comes in gold, black and grey colors. Alongside, both Xiaomi and Amazon India are offering a couple of deals that can be bundled with the purchase of the Redmi 4A smartphone.

Xiaomi slashed prices for the Mi cases last month, and you can now get one for the Redmi 4A at a price of Rs 299. Xiaomi Mi Headphones will be up for sale as well with prices starting from Rs 599. Also, if Amazon India customers make the purchase using net banking, credit card or debit card, then they will be eligible to get up to 100 percent cash back. However, this is a lucky draw scheme, and only 50 customers can get 100 percent cash back on their Redmi 4A purchase. The e-commerce platform continues to offer Rs 200 as an introductory offer credit for Kindle books.

The Redmi 4A is one of the best-selling affordable smartphone launched by the Chinese company this year. However, buyers looking for alternatives to the Redmi 4A can look at the Motorola Moto C Plus. The smartphone comes at a slightly higher price of Rs 6,999,  and is available on Flipkart.

The Redmi 4A sports a 5-inch HD (720p) IPS display. It is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 425 quad-core chipset clubbed with Adreno 308GPU. It has a hybrid dual-SIM card slot, which means you can either use two SIM cards at a time or one SIM card can be paired with a microSD card. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 custom OS.
