Monalisa makes her foray in Indian Television
The item girl of Bhojpuri cinema Monalisa is all set to make her TV serial debut with SAB TV’s comedy show Chidiya Ghar. The sensuous item girl will be making people laugh in this comic caper. Monalisa is all set to replace Shafaaq Naaz in the five-year-old show. Last year, Monalisa whose real name is Antara Biswas made her TV debut with Big Boss 10. She was seen with real life husband Vikrant Singh Rajpoot in Nach Baliye 8. She has never done any TV serial in her career. Monalisa has done over
50 Bhojpuri films along with ones in Hindi, Kannada , Telugu and Oriya. This is a new domain for her.
In Chidiya Ghar, playing Mayuri will be easy for her as she is a trained dancer. Mayuri is the dancing bahu of the house. The character of Mayuri was earlier played by Debina Bonnerjee whom Shafaaq Naaz had replaced. Monalisa plans to add her own bit to the comedy character with her style. Monalisa will start the shoot of the show this week. Monalisa hails from Kolkata and started off by doing Oriya and Bengali films. She also did some Bengali serials like Kabe Je Kothay and Ei To Jiban and later came to Mumbai to try her luck in Bollywood. She was in Ajay Devgn’s Blackmail but her career in Bollywood was nothing much to write home about. She got fame by being a siren in Bhojpuri films. While doing these films she met her husband Vikrant and later married him. Apparently, Vikrant Singh Rajpoot is all set to be seen in Big Boss 11 this year.
