Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 2 ‘Stormborn’ review:

Arya and Nymeria’s reunion, Euron’s madness and Cersei’s Dragon Killer make this episode a must watch

In the first episode of the season we saw how Jon Snow who is a righteous King of the north and believe and follows what is right, Sansa is more of a practical one. They have their conflict, which leaves a smile on Little Finger’s face. The episode followed Bran’s journey to the wall, Euron Greyjoy to the King’s Landing, Sam’s chronicles being the maester in training, Hound’s face/off with fire and Daenerys Targaryen march to Dragonstone along with Tyrion Lannister. Let’s take a looks at what happens in the second episode…
    What’s It About
The episode saw Tyrion laying out a plan to conquer the seven kingdoms, for Daenerys, Samwell finds a cure for Ser Jorah’s grayscale, Cersei tries to persuade the lords against Daenerys, Greyjoys along with Martells are attacked by Euron, Jon faces revolt of sorts and Arya heads home after learning that Jon is the King in the north…
    What’s Hot
It’s been seven years since Game Of Thrones’ inception and not once in my memory they have put a foot wrong, expect nothing less here. The episode laid the foundation of one of the most awaited union to come, that is of Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow, with Tyrion being icing on the cake. I also loved the heartbreak of sorts it gave us in Arya’s reunion with her direwolf Nymeria. Even though it didn’t end well but we can expect a greater role Nymeria is entitled to. All this while Daenerys seemed invincible with her three dragons but you can’t underestimate the evilness of Cersei, as she has a plan for her dragons; The Dragon Killer. Also things are not gonna be hail and hearty for Jon Snow. As much as I am looking forward to his union with mother of dragons and reunion with the god of wine and tits, I am can’t wait to see what Little Finger has in store for him since he threatened him. I must remind you here, Ned Stark, Cersei Lannister, Joffrey Baratheon, all threatened him once someway or the other. It didn’t turn out well for them with Ned and Joffrey killed brutally and Cersei was ‘Shamed’ publicly.
However, the money shot moment for me was towards the climax of the film in an unlikely character who turned out to be the scene stealer with his wild, scary, mad act. The character is Euron Greyjoy. The whole attack on his nephew and niece and the madness he portrayed on screen was something never been seen before in the series. Also read: Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 1 ‘Dragonstone’ review: Lyanna Mormont and Arya Stark are the scene stealers of this blockbuster premiere
    What’s Not
There was not really a single false note in this episode. I can’t really think of any. It was as engaging as it gets.
    What To Do
I’ve said it earlier, I’ll say it again, even if it was a bad one you are still gonna catch it but this is indeed a great episode, it has something for everyone, it has the war, the nudity, the gore, the reunion, the heartbreak, the hope for a union and little finger’s evil smirk! Watch It…
