The new trackof Qaidi Band has interesting visuals along with a mediocre music...
The new song from Yash Raj Film’s Qaidi Band is out. Titled Junooni, the song is in sync with the theme of the film. The film which is based against the backdrop of a jail and how its inmates who are the undertrial form a rock band that may or may not lead to their escape. As we mentioned in our review of the album, the music is composed by Amit Trivedi who has done a fab job with the tracks. However talking about this song in general, it fails to leave an impact and is one of the weaker songs of the album. Sung by Arijit Singh and Yashita Sharma, the singing by the two as well as the performance by the actors, Aadar Jain and Anya Singh is on point and the film look like a grittier tale of love and hope. But it’s the song itself that’s a disappointment. Right from music to lyrics, nothing works in its favour and I doubt it’ll work beyond the film. Having said that it is one of the most unlikely romantic track I have heard in awhile and that is the only saving grace. Also read: Qaidi Band actor Aadar Jain: I’d like to work with Alia Bhatt

Talking about the video, it is the visual that are more appealing than the audio and that can be credited to the earnest performances of its lead, Aadar Jain and Anya Singh. The two are very endearing and it’s their earnest performance that lifts the track from being a mediocre one.
Qaidi Band is slated for an August 25, 2017 release and talks about the plight of the undertrials in Indian jails and how they rise above their misery and how music set them free.
