Sahil Khan also has something to say to his haters."
Style actor, Sahil Khan, who has been away from films for a quite sometime now and even had been away from limelight sort of broke the internet when he uploaded his vacation pictures where he was having good time and I must say, the pics are such kind that they are bound to leave everyone in a state of jealousy. So as soon as BollywoodLife got hold of those pictures and in no time it went viral. Suddenly Sahil Khan became talk of the digital space.
So we connected with the actor/fitness enthusiast and he to acknowledged the fact that it was BollywoodLife’s post that compared him with Dan Bilzerian and he was extremely happy about it. In the interview he talked about his vacation, the idea behind the pictures, his much loved film Style and much more. We also asked him about the kind of captions he used in his pictures which were targeted towards his haters. When asked about that, he had a very interesting reply..
Here are the excerpts…
When did you realise that your holiday pics from France were going viral and breaking the internet?
During my recent trip to France & Italy, I was in some good holiday spirit. Few days later I saw my fans tagging me on my Instagram and Facebook, and writing comments on my YouTube channel about me being called “ Desi Dan Bilzerian”. Very surprised by it, I found that your webpage Bollywoodlife.com has published a story about me being inspired by the King of Good Times, and given me an interesting new nickname. Today, even Wikipedia says I am the Indian Dan Bilzerian. I can’t dream to be even close to him, but yes it made me happy seeing them going viral and breaking the internet. LOL
What were you doing in France, can you give us a glimpse of your holiday in Cannes?
I deserved a much needed break from my regular life of fitness trainings with personal and online clients, attending events, working on my new businesses, family commitments etc. Few of my closest friends decided to holiday together and that’s how, I went from Mumbai to Nice – France, Nice to Monte Carlo – Monaco, Monte Carlo to Cannes, Cannes to Milan – Italy! Loved exploring the natural beauty of each city, beaches, casinos, churches, yachts, food, people, shopping, culture – it was one of my dream come true trip. We had decided to go further, but I had to shorten my trip as visa expired and my exploration ended with this holiday.
Are you still single ? Any plans to settle down ?
No, I am not single ! I found LOVE !
Your film Style has sort of become an iconic film. People still remember it and its songs. Even its sequel Xcuse Me is loved. Any plans of returning to films or a third part of Style?
Yes, God has very kind to me that people still acknowledge and appreciate me for Style which came 16 years back. I feel the love and admiration have grown for me in all these years of my journey from Bollywood to India’s Fitness Icon. In today’s times, people have very short term memory and they forget names very easily. Fortunately I have been blessed.
I am delighted to hear that some production houses want to see “Chantu – Bantu” back ! Well, time will tell.
If you were given a chance to train any youngster from B-town like Aryan and Ibrahim, who would it be …
Being a Lifestyle and Body Transformation Coach, for me each individual is important, be it from any field. When It comes to Aryan or Ibrahim, I have not seen them personally – yet, I will be more than happy to train either.
You’ve been away from limelight for quite a while now. What is it that’s keeping you busy these days?
I would rather put it this way – that I am away from the glamour limelight as I have chosen this ‘living my dream life’ that keeps me busy these days.
I feel honored to have founded India’s first open air beach gym last year in Goa. It is also one of my dream come true project after I got fascinated by the LA version.
For my bread and butter, I am a Fitness Trainer and Transformation coach. Training high end national and international clients who value my experience and knowledge of last 20 years. I am proud to say that I am one of the most expensive coaches today. I don’t only guide on how to make muscles, lift weights or pop pills. But I am helping to bring a change in the lives of people, teaching them quality over quantity, how to make best use of healthy living, the nutrition game, sharing secrets of anti aging, beauty and skin care, overall fitness, mental motivation, personality development and how to handle the haters too !! haha Maybe that’s why I am being called “India’s Fitness Icon” by many associations.
Recently I have partnered with a European brand and launched “Real Mix 6 pack energy drink which is the World’s 1st Anti doping energy drink. I am also the Brand Ambassador of Indian Body Building Association and Fitness Dubai Expo.Any advice you want to give to your fans, your haters and for those in pursuit of a superhero-esque physique like yours?
For all those who love me and are inspired to be like me, I would like to use your platform to say that please keep a realistic goal. This is the key advice I would like to share. You can follow anyone you like, dream of a great body, but please follow their lives closely, know them better, find out how much of an investment they have been doing for the last 5, 10 or even 20 years or more, what all it takes to have a great physique maintained and retained for long term, educate yourself, invest time on yourself, the more you put in yourself the more you will good result over time. Learn to be patient – no big achievement or result can take place in few months.
I have a few clients/followers who are looking at the super athletic bodies of champions from all around the world and they dream of getting that in a few months time. How is it going to be possible? I do not give any false hopes to anyone., nor am I trying to demotivate anyone. All I am saying is – Anything is achievable – but you got to do what it takes. The best of the best champions around the world still have the best coaches, the best gyms, best nutrition, best therapies, best products, best knowledge to start with. Loads of sacrifices and experiments are undertaken to achieve where they are today. Each body is different so we need to study our bodies and find out what’s our asset and how to work on them. So stay positive and educate yourself first. I do feel sorry for our Indian athletes as Body building in India is still not considered a money making sport. I would love to join hands to make this sport more successful in the coming years. And for my haters – thank you very much – I am flattered that I am doing better than YOU – continue helping me grow successful!!
