“Destiny has dire plans for you, my friend,” says Doctor Strange as he meets the god of thunder, Thor, in the latest Thor: Ragnarok trailer! The Japanese trailer for the Chris Hemsworth starrer has surfaced and boy has it shattered our patience. In the latest trailer, the makers have revealed Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange avatar. While we already knew about his cameo in the DS movie itself, watching him have a “strange” conversation with Thor has piqued our excitement to another level. So as the “time lord” (Doctor Who fans would totally get this) and god of thunder exchange intense talks, starts the trailer we’ve all seen. The entire scene takes place in Sanctum Sanctorum in New York. People who have watched the Doctor’s movie wold be able to identify the background. Apart from inclusion of this scene, the entire trailer is a copy paste of what we’ve seen earlier.
Obviously, this makes the Jap trailer much better than what we’ve seen before. Earlier in the Doctor Strange movie post credits, we had seen Thor and the Sorcerer discuss Asgardian affairs, mainly about the mischievous Loki, who is always upto no good. That proved that Strange with his sorcery is going to blow our minds as he battles Hela (god of Death) along with Thor. And with this latest clip in the trailer, we’re certain that this collab is going to be crazy on several levels! Hela is going to have a tough time fighting the god of thunder who has the Doctor and Hulk on his side. Or maybe she’ll give them a hard time. For all we know right now, the film is set to release in November. Check out the international trailer below.
In case you folks weren’t aware of this, the movie has been titled Thor: Battle Royale in Japan. How cool is that? It perfectly explains what’s going to happen! The film also stars Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, Jeff Goldblum, Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston in pivotal roles. The first official trailer was released at Comic Con San Diego this year along with various other movie trailers, including Justice League and much more.
