Sopore Encounter
An encounter is currently underway between security forces and militants holed up in a house Sopore, in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Two terrorists have been killed in the encounter and four police personnel have been injured. The militants, currently believed to be two in number, opened fire on the forces during a cordon-and-search operation, triggering the gun-battle, a police official said

Security forces had launched the cordon-and-search operation in Natipora area of Sopore at around 3:30 am on Thursday after receiving information about the presence of militants there, a police official said.
