But Tyrion Lannister gets sidelined again!
All GoTians checking out our site! Have you all watched the first episode of the seventh season of Game of Thrones? If not, please do not read ahead, for the below article has real spoilers for what happened in the premiere episode. If you have watched it, you will know that the chess board has been ready and the pieces are placed on the right squares. A lot happened in the first episode with regards how the season will move ahead, with some major players like Arya Stark (in her most badass move of the show), Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister, Jaimie Lannister, Sandor Clegane, Sansa Stark and Daenerys Targaryen getting their moments to shine.
Now we have the trailer for the second episode, and it looks like they are not wasting time in getting ready for the big war. Some of the big highlights are that Jon Snow may have plans to meet Daenerys Targaryen, perhaps to take her help in either taking down Cersei or the Night King, or both. However, he is getting some stiff opposition from one of his Council members. Speaking of Daenerys, she is prepping up to take on King’s Landing, with Yara Greyjoy planning the moves, as she reminds Daenerys, Tyrion, Varys, Theon, Greyworm, Missandei and Ellaria Sand that they have a fleet and three dragons. Cersei knows of this as she holds her own council and let them know that Mad King’s daughter will destroy the realm. Elsewhere, Yara and Ellaria gets it own, while it looks like Arya will finally be reunited with her direwolf, Nymeria (long time, no see, buddy! Now where the heck is Gendry?).

HBO’s official synopsis for episode 2 reads, “Daenerys receives an unexpected visitor. Jon faces a revolt. Tyrion plans the conquest of Westeros.” Strangely, even though the synopsis mentions Tyrion, he is given very little to do in the first episode, the teaser and sadly, in the last season too. Why, Game of Thrones, why? Why are you making your biggest MVP be a part of the background scenery.
