Makers confirm Shraddha Kapoor as Prabhas’ leading lady in Saaho

We earlier broke the news to you about Shraddha Kapoor being roped in as Prabhas’ leading lady in Saaho. The makers have now confirmed the same. Though fans are not quite happy to see these paired opposite each other in a while, the makers believe that Shraddha is a perfect choice. In a statement, the producers said, “Shraddha is absolutely the perfect choice for the role. We are very excited to have her on board with us.” Well, Shraddha has given us a lot of box office hits, except Rock On! 2. The actress will be romancing the Baahubali star in the upcoming film.

Saaho is Prabhas’ next ambitious project and quite a few names from Bollywood were considered to star opposite him. Katrina Kaif was also considered for the role. In fact, Anushka Shetty was also rumoured to be playing his actress in the action based film but buzz also said that she opted out of the project. We told you exclusively how the makers had a problem had an issue with her weight which led to her ouster from the film. Despite training hard for the film, the actress was 5-8 kilos overweight which led the makers to remove her from the film. The shoot for this hi tech action drama has already begun and it’s been shot in three languages, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Saaho will also have Neil Nitin Mukesh play the antagonist. Well, there are quite a few Bollywood actors who are currently seen playing the antagonist in South films. Akshay Kumar will also be seen playing an antagonist in Rajinikanth’s 2.0. Vivek Oberoi will play a negative role in Ajith’s Vivegam. So far we’re loving this amalgamation of talents between Bollywood and regional entertainment industry. Even though fans don’t see Shraddha as a suitable actress for Prabhas, we think the pairing will be pretty interesting.
