Salman Khan isn't too kicked about the film right now, we hear.
Everybody was hoping that
Salman Khan will soon begin work on Remo D’Souza’s film called Dancing Dad after he wraps up
Tiger Zinda Hai.
But if Deccan Chronicle’s news is anything to go by, he has already put the project on hold. According to the daily, he doesn’t think the character suits him. In fact, he even has a replacement in mind too. Apparently, he has suggested Varun Dhawan’s name for the film.
Quoting a source, DC reports, “Salman was not happy with the idea of playing a dad, who must learn dancing to please his young daughter. He feels that the role doesn’t suit his age. Salman has already burnt his fingers with trying to play a character much younger than his actual age in Tubelight. Every effort was made to convince Salman. But he remained unsure of looking credible as a dancing dad. He felt the role was more suited to Varun Dhawan, or one of the other younger heroes.” When we tried to get in touch with our source who is close to the actor to verify it, we found out it wasn’t too far away from the fact either.
Our source informed us that after Tubelight and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman doesn’t want to immediately do another film with a kid. We always cherish his roles with kids but after what happened to his last film, it seems he has become a bit cautious about what he does next. The actor had often spoken about this film at various occasions. He has also mentioned how he is learning new dance forms for the film. He even found the plot endearing. But guess he doesn’t want to jump into it immediately. Well, if this is true, Salman fans will definitely be disappointed. But you never know, he may just revive it later on. So let’s not lose hope people.
