The Kapil Sharma Show: Daddy Arjun Rampal’s natural charm made it a breezy affair
Daddy Arjun Rampal graced tonight’s episode of The Kapil Sharma Show with his co-star Aishwarya Rajesh. Also present, were his co-stars director-actor Nishikant Kamat, Rajesh Shringarpure and Anand Ingale. Kapil started off with a spoof on the quirks of Indian travellers. He is good at observational comedy and it was reaffirmed as he was decently funny. Kiku Sharda let us down tonight as he was not in his element. But Rochelle Maria Rao made up for him as she got it spot on as Lottery on the show. In fact, the girls were a lot better with their timing. Their cat fight was one of the highlights of the show.
It was Aishwarya Rajesh’s debut on The Kapil Sharma and she seemed thrilled to be on it. It was revealed that she also was the host of a comedy show down South. Kapil flirted a bit with her. It was very sweet to see how Arjun was making comfortable on the show. She plays Daddy Arun Gawli’s wife, Asha in the film. The funniest part was when Anand Ingale and Nishikant Kamat poked fun at Kapil Sharma in Marathi. The ace comedian revealed that his knowledge was limited to Mulgi Shikli, Pragati Zali.
One of the best parts was when Kapil asked Rampal about acting with Amitabh Bachchan in Aankhen and Ek Ajnabee. He said that people must be feeling woofers have been placed under their seat when the two talk. Arjun revealed an interesting anecdote about how it was easier to mouth dialogues in Aankhen as he was a blind man and did not have to face Big B while talking. He was damn nervous during Ek Ajnabee as he had to look at Senior Bachchan and talk. When a woman got up and asked him about he felt about having two daughters and not a son, the actor said that when he had his second daughter, his father called him a true ladies man. The handsome hunk said that a healthy child should matter for a parent and not the gender.
At the end, he took the console and became a DJ for the audience. Archana Puran Singh seemed to enjoy herself as the host but her loud laugh is little out of place on TKSS. Overall, the show was low on humour but high on anecdotes and hotness courtesy Mr Rampal.
