Chadha and Huma Qureshi promote Partition 1947 with a “Twisted Gadar” as the backdrop

The Drama Company today has the International filmmaker Gurinder Chadha and her heroine the very talented Huma Qureshi but an even more important lot of special people are present as Drama Company celebrates 70 years of Indian Independence and they are the BMC workers of Mumbai city. The team commends the BMC efforts to keep the city clean. Karan calls a little Sidhu who keeps going Tokko Thaali for everything and laughs even before anyone jokes. Huma talks about Partition: 1947 and says it is one of its kind films which reveals the reality of partition, it is a must watch for every Indian. The drama for the day is Gadar Ek Fake Katha. Krushna Abhishek plays Dhara who wishes to get a role in Gurinder’s film. He tries his luck by translating some english to hindi. Dhara is irritated by his cleaner-Sudesh Lehri who does not return his money to him. They go for the annual function of their college. Gutur Murasdabadi is introduced who is Ali Asgar and he goes around being poetic and flirting with Gurinder. Ridhima comes in with a balle performance while Sugandha interrupts with a bangra and Gurinder with Huma join them. 

The play continues with Huma dancing on O Womaniya too. Later Sugandha asks her Dhara to drop her on the other side of the border but Dhara is too scared of meeting Sunil Shetty there. Sanket and Ridhima enter as Sughanda’s parents but do not take her along as they leave her to Dhara. We have the Ghar Aaja Pardesi with Dhara and Sugandha also a crow! The son is born to them but Dhara refuses to accept him and also Sugandha’s father hangs up on seeing the child. Dhara doubts the child to be the crow’s. The crow drops her on the otehr side of the border and Sanket being the abu tries to get his girl married. Dhara enters but does not manage to uproot the handpump this time and prefers going home. Sanket somehow manages to drop his daughter on the train with Dhara and happily walks off with his wife. Now enters our Bhaijaan who comes with the son and the parents escape saying the child is not theirs, and the usual chaos follows drawing an end to the episode.
